We celebrated Leanna’s 29th Birthday with family and friends for a good meal and some cake! The evening before we went to a place called Bardea Steak in Wilmington,  DE and got the Butcher’s feast which entailed 7 different pieces of steaks from 7 different varieties of cows. This was quite the dish and had a ton of flavor!

We got to enjoy a few snow days at the new house and it was so pretty. We haven’t seen snow in our area for a while so this was a nice treat. Eventually we had to go and shovel the snow off the driveway, which took hours lol!

Old furniture to New Furniture – After settling into the new house, Jake and I needed furniture to fill the spaces. This piece came from my mom-mom and pop-pop. My dad (Steve) sanded down all the furniture and made wine shelves in replacement of the doors. I (Leanna) then primed, painted, stained, and added new hardware to give it a new beautiful look. It fits perfectly in our dinning room!

Unlocking the Power of Love:
Embracing February’s Essence

As January bids farewell and the new year settles into its rhythm, February emerges as a month filled with warmth, passion, and the promise of love. This second chapter in the annual journey holds a special place in the hearts of many, primarily due to the celebration of Valentine’s Day. However, February is more than just a romantic rendezvous; it is a time to explore and appreciate the multifaceted nature of love in its various forms.

Embracing Valentine’s Day:

Undoubtedly, the highlight of February is Valentine’s Day, a day dedicated to expressing love and affection. While traditionally associated with romantic relationships, modern celebrations have expanded to include all forms of love – familial, platonic, and self-love. This shift in perspective transforms Valentine’s Day into a celebration of all meaningful connections, emphasizing the importance of love in fostering strong bonds that enrich our lives.

Love Beyond Romance:

Beyond the romantic allure of February lies an opportunity to reflect on the diverse expressions of love. This month encourages us to appreciate the bonds we share with family and friends. Whether it’s a simple phone call to a distant relative or a heartfelt gesture to a friend, these acts of kindness contribute to the tapestry of love that surrounds us.

Self-Love and Reflection:

While expressing love for others is crucial, February prompts us to turn our attention inward and practice self-love. In the midst of our hectic lives, it’s easy to neglect our own well-being. Taking time for self-reflection, self-care, and self-appreciation becomes a vital component of a balanced and fulfilling life. This month invites us to indulge in activities that bring us joy and satisfaction, fostering a healthy relationship with ourselves.

As February unfolds its arms, inviting us to bask in the warmth of love, let us embrace the multifaceted facets of this powerful emotion. Whether it’s a romantic dinner, a heartfelt letter, or a simple act of kindness, let February be a reminder to cherish and celebrate the various forms of love that enrich our lives. In doing so, we unlock the true essence of this enchanting month, turning it into a time of connection, reflection, and boundless affection.

Real Estate Leverage

Leverage is the use of various financial instruments or borrowed capital
(e.g., debt) to increase an investment’s potential return. A 20% down
payment on a mortgage, for example, gets you 100% of the house you
want to buy—that’s leverage. Because real estate is a tangible asset and
one that can serve as collateral, financing is readily available.
